Q: How should I place my can?
A: Your can should be placed at the curbside of your property using the following guide: 4 feet apart and 4 feet from parked cars, mailboxes, or other objects. Cans should be on a flat level surface. Cans must be no further than 2 feet from the road. Handles toward the house and lid opening toward the street.
Q: Do I have to bag my trash?
A: Yes, trash that is not properly bagged can create messes. We are not responsible for messes caused by trash that is not properly bagged.
Q: Can I throw away paint, batteries, tires?
A: No. We do not accept liquids, batteries, paint or tires due to EPA guidelines If you are disposing of paint, it must be completely dried out with cat litter, saw dust or sand prior to disposal.
Q: Can I throw away used needles?
A: Yes, but they must be inside of a leak-proof, rigid, puncture resistant red plastic container with the word “BIOHAZARD” or the international symbol for biohazard clearly visible
Q: When should I put my trash out?
A: The night before your scheduled day of pick up. All trucks are equipped with GPS so missed stop complaints can be verified via GPS tracking. Due to servicing other customers, we will not return for stops that were not placed out by the curb prior to the scheduled pick-up day.
Q: Do you accept construction debris?
A: No we do not accept construction debris. This includes wood, drywall, and metal material. We do not accept shingles or any other large pieces of construction material either.
Q: Do you accept bulky or large items such as mattresses, couches, or televisions?
A: Bulky items will be picked up by appointment only. Customers must call and schedule a pick-up date and time. Bulky item pick-up is a separate cost from weekly trash collection and will be billed separately.
Q: Do you accept large boxes?
A: Boxes must be broken-down and bundled prior to pick-up.
Q: Can I use a personal can in addition to the provided can?
A: You can use a personal can, but it must be similar in type to one of our cans so that we can safely pick it up with the arm on the truck. i.e., a 95-gallon toter can.
Q: Can I choose monthly billing?
A: Yes, but please note that monthly billing requires both paperless billing (email) and payment must be via autopay.
Q: Do you accept refrigerators, freezers, washer and dryers, ac units, water heaters, dish washers?
A: Unfortunately we do not accept these types of items. These are considered “white goods” which the county government will pick up separately.
